  • 13/03/2026 - Wishing all our SBJFA member clubs well for the season

The SBJFA wishes all its member clubs, coaches, volunteers, players and parents well for the upcoming start of the season on Saturday 14th March. Hopefully all the fixtures are played with the ethos and spirit the SBJFA is promoting.

The SBJFA put player and coach welfare at the forefront of all our actions and I remind everyone that only the official SBJFA fixtures listed on this website are permitted to be played and carry all insurance and welfare support. Any additional fixture must have been approved by the SBJFA, after receiving request forms from both teams involved.

For confirmation of the Additional Fixtures that have been approved by the SBJFA, please check the list on the coaching resources page. If the fixture is not on this list, then it is not approved.

FIXTURE CANCELLATIONS - You will see a new form detailed on the coaching resources section of the website which is a FIXTURE CANCELLATION FORM. All clubs are now to complete this form when a fixture is cancelled and NOT to email either the SBJFA or other executive members.

GALASHIELS HEARTLAND AWARDS - Lastly the SBJFA again wants to highlight the Galashiels Heartland Awards that celebrate the people, businesses and organisations who put love at the heart of what they do for Galashiels and this year the event has a new category ‘Best Event of the Year’

As the SBJFA Football Festival takes place in Galashiels at the start of June every year, our event qualifies for this category. As the SBJFA we ask that you encourage all people connected with your club to take the time to place a vote for our event by following this link

Please help and make your vote count.

Voting Closes 20th of March

The SBJFA website has been launched for all clubs to view and access all the important information they may need access to. Fixtures were issued to all clubs and coaches however some clubs are still non-compliant with the SYFA registration process and are unable to participate in fixture until they have completed their SYFA registration. As detailed in the email the SBJFA will check the registration status of these teams on Wednesday 11th March and every Wednesday after that.
